Coach Stores in Focus: Flagship Addresses, Shops and What Awaits You
Coach closed its 2026 fiscal year, on 27 June 2026, with 973 directly operated stores, as set out in Tapestry’s annual report. The breakdown is 336 stores in North America and 637 across international markets. You may also see a figure of about 1,299 stores, although that number covers all of Tapestry’s brands, not Coach on its own. Looking ahead, Tapestry has reportedly signalled that around 50 net new Coach stores are in the pipeline for fiscal 2027, with roughly three quarters of them located outside North America. The network takes in flagship Coach House locations, everyday full-price boutiques, concessions within department stores and Coach Outlet stores. Anyone looking for a coach store may therefore find anything from a multi-floor flagship to a unit in an outlet village. This guide works city by city through the most thoroughly documented locations and notes where a store’s current status still needs checking.

New York: Coach House on Fifth Avenue
Founded in New York in 1941, Coach has its most famous flagship in the city of its birth. The Coach House at 685 Fifth Avenue was unveiled in the fall of 2016 to mark the brand’s 75th anniversary. It was reported at about 20,000 square feet across three floors, created coach shoes with William Sofield’s Studio Sofield. Coach has reportedly signed a lease for about 13,200 square feet at 645 Fifth Avenue for a new Coach House, meaning the present address is not a long-term home. The planned move is pencilled in for 2027, and David Yurman is reported to have taken a lease on the 685 Fifth Avenue space, with an opening expected in early 2029. Consult Coach’s store locator before making a special trip, as it is not confirmed whether the current store is still trading on a given day. The locator also includes a Coach store at 20 Hudson Yards, close to Tapestry’s headquarters at 10 Hudson Yards.
London: Coach House on Regent Street
Opened in 2016 as a global concept store, London’s Coach House is found at 200–206 Regent Street. Studio Sofield was also behind the design of the London store, lending it a family resemblance to the New York flagship. A Craftsmanship Bar offering monogramming and personalisation was described in coverage at the time. Made-to-order Rogue pieces reportedly require around 12 weeks, or about 16 weeks for exotic skins; a Made to Order bar for the Rogue bag was reported too. One retail-district listing carries a much later page date, which has led some writers to state the wrong opening year. Going by a published transcript of Tapestry’s August 2026 earnings call, the company said the UK, plus some wholesale business, is the only part of Europe where Coach has a material presence. If you are planning a personalisation appointment, check which services are currently offered before visiting.
Tokyo: Ginza
Tokyo’s Ginza district holds Coach’s flagship in Japan. Coach launched its first Japanese flagship there in 2002 and updated the store in 2015. Based on reports of the relaunch, it reopened on 19 December 2025 after a redesign by the studio CURIOSITY. Selected Japanese stores reportedly participate in the Coach (Re)Loved trade-in exchange, so Japan matters for services as well. Outlet items and canvas styles are reportedly ruled out, whereas the scheme welcomes gently worn all-leather retail bags. Which Japanese stores participate was not confirmed, so contact the store before taking a bag in. As with every flagship in this guide, hours and services are best checked shortly before a visit.
Greater China: An Outdated Shanghai Record, Plus Hong Kong and Chongqing
Records for Coach’s large stores in Greater China are less complete than those for New York or London. Based on a record that is now out of date, a flagship of about 7,000 square feet opened on Huai Hai Middle Road in Shanghai in April 2010. Nobody could verify its current status, which means the Shanghai store cannot be assumed to be open today. A global flagship in Hong Kong and a two-storey glass flagship in Chongqing are also said to be operated by Coach. The dates on which those two stores opened could not be verified either. International stores account for 637 of Coach’s 973 directly operated stores, but the annual report figure is not a list by city. Dated press coverage is no substitute for Coach’s local store locator, so anyone travelling should rely on the locator when planning a visit.
Boutiques and Concessions in Britain
Coach’s UK store locator separately points to full-price stores beyond Regent Street, at Westfield London in White City and at Westfield Stratford City. St Pancras and the Promenade Level at Canary Wharf provide further London locations. The recorded full-price store beyond London is at the Bullring in Birmingham. Coach also trades through concessions inside Harrods in Knightsbridge and Selfridges on Oxford Street, where a Coach Playground space has been promoted. Avoid assuming a local branch exists in Manchester, Edinburgh or other cities before checking, because stores there were not confirmed. The list above covers the documented full-price options at the time of writing for anyone looking up coach uk locations. To confirm hours and services, the safest place is each listed store’s own page on Coach’s UK website.

Coach Outlet Locations
Coach’s store locator labels Coach Outlet stores as outlets, and they sit within Coach’s own network instead of being run by independent discounters. They usually are located in outlet centres, and Coach has reportedly opened Coach Coffee Shop concepts at Jersey Gardens and Woodbury Common in the United States. Bicester Village, Cheshire Oaks Designer Outlet and Ashford Designer Outlet are confirmed Coach Outlet locations in Britain. Verify before travelling to York Designer Outlet, because a store there has been reported but not confirmed. Part of the outlet stock is made for the outlet channel, yet the only share figure on record, around 85%, dates from 2014, which leaves today’s mix unknown. Assortments also feature earlier-season styles and, under the reported «One Coach» strategy, some full-price collection product. Since promotions change and coupon-site sale calendars could not be verified, check current offers before setting out on a coach outlet trip.
Inside a Coach Store: What to Expect
Shoes, clothing and small leather goods accompany the current handbag range inside a full-price coach store, with the bags as the focus. Familiar bag families in 2026 include the Tabby, introduced in 2019, the Brooklyn, introduced in August 2024, and the Empire Carryall, introduced in February 2025. Spotted US prices put a Tabby 26 at $475 and an Empire Carryall 34 at $450, but these are figures seen in the market rather than an official price list. Some stores also take part in the (Re)Loved trade-in, which runs in North America retail stores plus select UK and Japan stores. According to reports, Coach Insider, the free loyalty programme, covers both Coach and Coach Outlet, which means one membership applies to both formats. Coach says it does not authenticate merchandise, which makes a receipt from a Coach store useful proof of where a coach bag came from. Creative direction is led by Stuart Vevers, whose appointment was announced in June 2013 and who is still Creative Director in 2026.
Planning Your Visit
Above all while the New York flagship is preparing to move, a little preparation prevents wasted journeys. Since Coach’s store locator separates full-price stores from Coach Outlet locations, begin with the version for the country you are visiting. If you are hoping for a trade-in, check that the specific store participates and that your bag is all leather rather than canvas. It pays to ask in advance whether the service is running if you want personalisation or made-to-order work. No VAT refund is available to plan around as a visitor to Britain, as tax-free shopping for tourists in Great Britain ended on 1 January 2021. Keep every receipt, because it records where a bag was bought if questions come up later. Deals change often, so check current promotions before travelling a long way to an outlet centre.
- On the day of travel, check the store locator.
- Confirm that the store participates in trade-ins and that your bag is eligible.
- Arrange personalisation services in advance.
- Hold on to receipts for every purchase.
